Job Description:

Position Overview:
The individual in this position is responsible for sales, promotion, and marketing of Tri-Vin Imports products in the Connecticut territory. The individual in this position will also be responsible for assisting the Sales Department with the development and execution of sales and marketing plans to further Tri-Vin’s strategic corporate objectives and financial goals
•  Calling off-premises and on-premises accounts to give successful presentations for decision-making buyers that result in the sales of wine and/or spirits
•  Increasing product placements and opening new accounts
•  Maintaining, developing and growing sales goals by working directly with retailers
•  Planning and executing a daily schedule of sales calls via a pre-determined account run
•  Meeting or exceeding pre-determined service expectations while effectively selling the portfolio and fulfilling designated account run management objectives
•  Working with supplier representatives and managers in the field to promote sales in territory
•  Participate in trade and in-store tasting events. Set up tastings with account managers and follow up accordingly
•  Communicate and work with suppliers in your market
•  Improving the marketability of products through shelf management, display position and price point Management
•  Effectively planning on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis in relation to achieving applicable sales goals
•  Following through on issues deemed important to management, customers, and suppliers

•  Minimum 3 years wholesale experience, or commensurate experience in the hospitality industry
•  Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new Tri-Vin initiatives and changing client needs
•  Basic knowledge of wine, new and old world, and have the desire to expand knowledge in wines and spirits
•  Proven ability to create opportunity and close a sale
•  Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize effectively
•  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
•  High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, ERP and the internet
•  Strong oral and written communication skills
•  Available for client work and/or travel Monday through Friday on a general basis, including outside of normal business hours and weekends
•  Willing to travel – up to 80 percent
•  Must have a valid Driver’s license
