Helena, Napa Valley. For more than 89 years, the Salvestrin family has sustainably farmed the historic Dr. Crane Vineyard. In 1994, Rich Salvestrin, third generation, brought the family legacy full circle and began producing wine under the Salvestrin label.

Marketing Specialist

Position Overview

Digital Marketing, Advertising and Social Media
•  Take the lead on social media presence, including posting, responding and identifying new opportunities (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter)
•  Monitor trends in social media tools, websites optimization, applications, channels, design, and strategy
•  Take a proactive role in evolving the company message and creative content to include educational and live video feeds for social media, DTC and wholesale
•  Work with the winery team to build weekly, monthly and seasonal promotional plans
•  Coordinate and execute email marketing and advertising initiatives

Production, Creative Development & Website
•  Assist in the creation and updating of marketing tools (tasting notes, sell sheets, DTC collateral)
•  Maintain inventory and coordinate distribution of promotional material
•  Routinely audit website content to ensure accuracy (content and store) CULT and Salvestrin
•  Trade Website information - CULT and Salvestrin sites o Manage brand assets - wines, logos and brand tools, bios, videos and photos o Manage tech sheet, bottle shot, beauty shot, front label & back labels in Drop Box o Maintain current distributor list
•  POS - Full product list (brochure), brand standards and sell sheets in wholesale market

Marketing, Local Engagement and Press
•  Industry outreach to enhance awareness of winery and Inn (hotels, wineries, restaurants, drivers, events, etc.)
•  Take a lead role with various industry organizations to promote winery brand (Napa Vintners Association, Appellation St. Helena, etc.)
•  Assist with event coordination and hosting guests
•  Press – publication submission, follow-up and updating of materials as the scores are achieved
•  Manage wine submission to bloggers and promote resulting marketing

Other
•  Comply with all company policies and procedures
•  Other tasks and projects as needed

Job Requirements
•  Strong multitasking, problem solving and time management skills
•  Technically savvy – including familiarity with software, web and social media
•  Strong writing, grammar and proofreading skills
•  Excellent verbal communication skills
•  Willingness to wear many hats, work within a small team, and take initiative
•  Graphic design skills and creativity
•  Knowledge of and a passion for the wine industry
•  Proficiency with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, MailChimp
•  Bachelor’s degree preferred with concentration in marketing or related area
•  California driver’s license with clean DMV record
•  Must be able to lift 40 lbs. (case of wine)
•  Ability to work some weekends, holidays and evenings
•  Ability to sit and or stand for long periods of time
