The Production Planner’s role is to oversee and manage the bottling plan by coordinating with our team and external suppliers. The objective of this role is to excel in production planning to ensure wines are bottled in a timely and cost efficient manner. The individual will report to the Head of Wine Planning on the Planning team.

To nail your job you will:

-Manage relationships with bottling partners and ensure that supplier KPIs are met
-Ensure products are bottled efficiently, while keeping dry goods logistics and demand needs in consideration
-Hold suppliers accountable if terms are not met. All pricing is to be monitored and upheld with suppliers. Familiarity with contract terms and deliverables is a must.
-Identify and recommend ways to reduce costs and optimize bottling plan without sacrificing customer experience or quality
-Track efficiencies, quality, and production data to improve bottling operations across suppliers. Able to execute and follow through on proposed improvements
-Attend bottlings on a regular basis. Day travel is required
-Coordinate with bottlers to schedule bottling dates and communicate any changes or delays with the team. Update bottling dates in the company system
-Be the owner of the Bottling Checklist sheet used by departments throughout the company
-Partner with various departments for production planning and make bottling decisions based on volume forecast and demand.
-Track that bottling volumes per location meet minimums and aim to hit target volumes with suppliers to receive rebates.
-Send forecasted volumes to suppliers on a monthly basis
-Contribute to process improvement initiatives and encourage the involvement of suppliers and team members
-Run weekly production meetings to make sure everything is in place for bottling
-Be responsible for staying in touch with suppliers and upholding a good working relationship
-Create bottling purchase orders and ensure invoices reflect agreed contract pricing
-Facilitate monthly Wine Reconciliation meeting to verify planned versus actual volumes
-Collaborate with the Procurement Coordinator to manage dry goods leftover inventory
-Analyze bottling reports to ensure volumes meet what was expected and works to resolve numbers that look inconsistent

-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Bachelor degree preferred
-2 to 5 years work experience in a bottling, operations, or production environment required
-Experience managing supplier relationships
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Google Office tools
-Track record of exceptional decision making and communication skills
-Strong computer, technical and analytical skills
-Remote work is temporarily available under shelter in place orders. Must be able to commute to our Napa, CA office once restrictions have been lifted
