JOB TITLE: Logistics Technician

REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager

FLSA STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt

SALARY: $18/hr base

LOCATION: Santa Rosa, CA

The primary role of the Logistics Technician is to ensure safe, efficient and accurate deliveries to our wholesale customers and tasting rooms. The Logistics Technician executes all tasks put forward by the Logistics Manager to ensure the highest possible level of customer service.

Warehouse Responsibilities

Receiving, processing, labeling, and storing incoming deliveries.
Inspecting all stock for damages and keeping records of damages.
Organizing and cleaning the warehouse space and cold storage areas
Preparing orders for shipment.
Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Counting stock and keeping inventory records.
Maintenance of department equipment as needed: Forklift, electric pallet jack, etc.
Track and record errors impacting the Logistics Team (oversold beer, inaccurate packaging numbers, receiving discrepancies etc.)

Delivery Driving Responsibilities: Driving shifts will carry a +$2/hr wage differential

Loading, transporting, and delivering HenHouse products to businesses in a safe and timely manner
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
Loading and unloading items from vehicles.
Accepting payments for delivered items.
Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
Perform daily inspections of vehicles
Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Maintain an organized, clean and safe work space
Demonstrates ability to maintain spacial awareness
Demonstrates ability to be resourceful and think on one's feet when navigating high traffic and new areas

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote a positive work environment with a focus on customer service based problem solving
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with co workers

Computer Skills

Must demonstrate moderate computer and smartphone skills
Familiarity with using navigation systems

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual, verbal and written, (Spanish), preferred
Two years of experience in warehouse & delivery, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work

Physical Requirements
Must be of legal drinking age (21 years of age)
Capable of communicating vital business information. Accurate and clear vision and hearing
Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods of time.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, kneel, talk and hear
Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving
Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record
Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo; kegs and cases

Work Environment

Regularly: Outdoor weather conditions; Extreme cold (non-weather) Work near moving mechanical parts; Work in cramped, precarious places;

Occasionally: Wet or humid conditions (non-weather); Fumes or airborne particles; Toxic or caustic chemicals; Extreme heat (non-weather);

Noise level: Moderate, Loud
