Job Description:

The New England Regional Manager is responsible for achieving annual sales and marketing objectives associated with the New England Region to a pre-determined goal with the creation, implementation, and execution of strategic sales initiatives. Overseeing distributor management is a priority in this multi-state position. This Regional Manager must be results oriented and focused on goal attainment through the daily management of depletions, shipments/inventory, profitability, local marketing, and growing brand positions within distributors as well as in the marketplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Work closely with Divisional Vice President as well as distributor executive management to ensure execution of the developed sales strategies, company objectives, depletion/shipment goals, and targeted revenue generation by closely working with their distributor brand managers, sales managers, distributor reps as well as key accounts within the New England Region
•  Work with Divisional Vice President to create an annual business plan, developing thoughtful and fiscally responsible strategies to achieve goals for each state
•  Manage distributor relationships through close oversight on pricing models, budgets, programs, incentives, with the ability to take corrective action when needed
•  Work with Marketing team to ensure each Producer’s vision is maintained in the market, including but not limited to the execution of successful local events, market work, pricing integrity, etc
•  Maintain established working relationships with key accounts in given territory

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Proven track record of account level and distributor or supplier level sales
•  Highly organized, and displays excellent time management skills
•  Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail
•  Established working relationships with key accounts and distributors in given territory
•  Professional, and proven ability to thrive in highly competitive environment
•  Ability to make smart business decisions based on growing sales, profitability and market shares
•  Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and objection handling skills
•  Persuasive public speaking and presentation skills and the ability to close deals

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION
•  Distributor management and/or supplier experience a must (experience with control states a bonus)
•  Experience selling domestic and international fine wine
•  High comfort level working with allocated wines as well as brand building
•  Computer/Admin skills to include proficiency in managing pricing grids as well as fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT a must); experience using Diver is preferred.
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule depending upon the needs of distributors, customers & producers – travel is necessary in this role
•  Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
