Temp Quality Control Technician

Job Description:

Position Purpose

Under general supervision, the Temporary QC tech will follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to best production and product quality standards. The Temp QC Tech will receive general instructions on day to day and receives detailed instructions on new assignments.

Essential Duties

•  Monitors ISO QMS and HACCP process through daily routines and inspects the final bottle package following customer requirements
•  Tests and approves the wine quality in the bottle following micro and analytical techniques and processes
•  Restricts and allocate nonconformance product using the SAP protocols and tools for inventory
•  Prepares and completes necessary paperwork, including on-line inspection forms for daily QC bottling, using bottling schedules, and production planning
•  Stocks hold back samples from own shift in the hold back area and ships hold back samples as needed
•  Assists Quality Tech II collecting data and testing when production demands or for specific projects

Non-Essential Duties

•  Ensures all administrative tasks are accurately completed in a timely manner
•  Identifies, investigates, and troubleshoots problem areas, processes, and components on the bottling line
•  Performs incoming material inspections on packaging components as needed, document results and communicates findings
•  Participates in new component trials, such as labels, glass, capsules and corks to check for line compatibility
•  Pulls cellar samples for analysis; performs swabs on specific areas for further analysis

Minimum Requirements

•  Requires at least a two-year associate's degree
•  Quality Control monitoring experience desired
•  Forklift experience desired
•  Must possess proven interpersonal, oral and written communication and listening skills
•  Professional demeanor with customers, vendors and co-workers, especially under stressful situations
•  Positive team player with the ability to break down communication barriers, be open to new ideas and share knowledge with the team
•  Proficient in desktop applications of Microsoft Office
•  SAP Knowledge preferred
•  Acceptable driving history with valid Driver's License

Working Conditions

•  General manufacturing plant work
•  At times, may work in noisy and dirty conditions
•  May be required to travel between job sites for project oversight
