Environmental, Health, Safety & Operations Manager

Job Description:

Estates & Wines, the Moët Hennessy wine division, is a unique collection of prestigious wineries spread across 5 continents.

Our vineyards are located on exceptional sites and are among the best terroirs of their appellation and each of our wineries have broken new ground - by pioneering new or forgotten regions; or through innovative & distinctive winemaking techniques.

Reporting to the Operations Winemaker, this position is responsible for the development, management and execution of various tasks relating to Environment, Health & Safety, Operations, and CAPEX project management, including the supervision of the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor positions.

Responsibilities Include:
-Proactive implementation of green book KPIs for Newton & identify investment opportunities to reduce impact.
-ISO project management- 14001 & 50001
-Napa Green (and other relevant local certifications)
-Create cohesive Health and Safety program and reporting procedures for all departments
-Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment
-Conduct departmental inspections as outlined in company procedures
-Report all hazards, incidents, injuries and near misses in accordance with the relevant procedures
-Respond to critical incidents and other events as required.
-Facilitate compliance related projects as needed.

Requirements:
-Minimum of 5 years experience in Environment, Health & Safety fields.
-ISO experience
-Ability to navigate local, city, county, state and federal guidelines for winery and hospitality facility operations
-Ability to create spreadsheet that allows for the monitoring of department budget.
-Ability to create and adhere to ISO certification process.
-Computer skills to include Power Point, Word Processing, and utilization of data base information, Excel.
-Ability to work safely, including the proper use of protective equipment, handling of hazardous chemicals, driving of forklifts, and use of confined space equipment.
-Strong skills when it comes to priority setting, dealing with ambiguity, and managing vision and purpose.
-Smooth & clear communicator able to fit comfortably with multiple teams and effectively manage third party contractors.
