Lodi Wine Lab has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic and motivated full-time harvest lab technician to join our team. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, able to switch job priorities and perform tasks efficiently without compromising accuracy and precision. The candidate will also occasionally be required to offer a high level of customer service both in-store and over the phone.
For the right candidate this could transition into a permanent full-time position with benefits. (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO)
Process and analyze winery samples. Perform all routine chemical and physical analyses of juice, lees and wine.
Complete sample analysis according to client orders using equipment such as Autotitrator, Centrifuge, DMA, Alcolyzer, Gallery, Winescan, etc.
Prepare and process samples for instrument analysis, including logging, managing and reporting with a LIMS.
Prepare chemical solutions as necessary for lab instruments and for retail sale.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow and maintain ISO 17025 policies and procedures.
Additional duties as required.
BS in Enology, Chemistry, or similar field required.
At least 1 year experience in a winery lab required.
Microbiology lab experience a plus.
Familiarity and experience with winemaking and an appreciation for wine a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and work well with other employees.
Computer literacy (spreadsheet, database, email and word processing programs).
Able to work independently and quickly while providing accurate analysis.
40+ hours per week, longer hours during harvest
Exposure to chemicals, lab environment
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and push, pull, lift, carry 55 pounds occasionally.
Hourly w/ overtime, DOE
