Regional Sales Manager North Carolina/ South Carolina
Columbus Wine and Spirits a dynamic, net zero carbon New York based, importer and brand management company is looking for an accomplished industry veteran that can hit the ground running. We represent a diversified portfolio of wines and spirit producers that are sustainably, farmed estate based producers practicing minimal intervention. The ideal candidate will reside in a metropolitan area within territory and have experience in selling to distributors.
Responsible for building Columbus Wine and Spirits with the trade by developing distributor relationships within specified territory. The candidate will provide leadership and educate the distributor sales teams, and their accounts to deliver on company’s sales objectives.
Responsibilities to include;
Develop distributor network as necessary to establish Columbus Wine and Spirits brands in the market.
Attain sales objectives in each market as established by collaboration with Columbus Wine and Spirits management.
Establish expectations with distributor management personnel for distribution and volume targets to achieve company objectives.
Design, negotiate and execute regional promotion plans per approved budgets.
Manage product launches; pricing, inventory, execution strategy, and tracking.
Participate in sales calls, manage key account list in each market.
Conduct tastings, fund raisers, trade shows and other events as necessary
Develop strategic promotions to assure execution towards goals.
Provide market intelligence to Sales Director.
Manage budgets and expenses per plan.
Review and approve all distributor billbacks and promotional requests.
Submit all reports in a timely manner, i.e. expenses, sales/depletion reports, and projections.
4 years sales/sales management experience in territory
Effective communication and team building skills
Strong Computer skill (Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Occasional weekend availability
Clean Driving Record
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods.
Driving throughout the territory, occasional overnights within territory.
Occasional flights outside of the territory with overnight stays.
Willingness to travel abroad from time to time.
60% field work
20% work with distributor in field
Base salary with commission and incentives
Health insurance subsidy after 90 days
