POSITION SUMMARY:

The Outbound Sales and Hospitality Team Member is the quintessential Ehlers Estate brand representative. This person is primarily responsible for generating sales through phone and email campaigns. They are also responsible for ensuring that every visitor to the winery is offered our gold-standard customer service, and is given a presentation of our wines, our property, and our legacy in a manner consistent with the goals and standards set out by the Direct to Consumer Manager and the Estate Manager. The Hospitality Team Member must remember that he or she represents a reputable international philanthropic organization and may be held accountable for activities during or outside of work hours that may reflect poorly on that organization.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Build and strengthen relationships with current and new clients through email and over the phone to garner offsite sales.
•  Warm calling our wine club members and previous customers
•  Writing personalized and targeted email offers as well as follow up communications
•  Report weekly sales goals and objectives to Estate Manager and Direct to Consumer Manager
•  Open and close the business on a daily basis according to outlined procedures
•  Set-up and host wine tastings and tours for guests
•  Establish and maintain a positive relationship with referral companies and individuals
•  Provide world class customer service to site visitors
•  Assist in events, private dinners and various site activities
•  Assist with restocking, inventory, wine packing and shipping
•  Monitor hospitality areas to ensure they are kept clean and safe
•  Answer phones and, in consultation with Direct to Consumer Sales Manager, book appointments in company calendar
•  Conduct point of sale procedures, cash handling
•  Develop and maintain a working knowledge/interest in wine production and appreciation
•  Maintain familiarity with Napa Valley history, local wineries and other hospitality businesses
•  Contribute to sales strategies and staff motivation
•  Help other managers with projects as required
•  Other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
•  BA or BS degree preferred but not required
•  At least 3 years of experience in sales for a winery or premium consumer goods company
•  Computer proficiency: MS Office, Database, and POS software experience
•  Ability to prioritize and to get things done in a rapidly changing environment
•  Strong attention to service detail
•  Self-motivated with the ability to multi task numerous projects at one time
•  Exemplary interpersonal communication skills
•  High degree of integrity and strong work ethic
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
•  Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
•  Valid CA Driver’s license
