Aspiring winemaker, join us! Young Inglewood is seeking to add an enthusiastic intern to our tight-knit production team for the 2020 harvest season. We are a small, family-owned and operated estate winery and vineyards located on the Mayacamas benchland in Southwest St Helena, Napa Valley, where we are committed to producing hand-made wines that express the outstanding quality of our terroir. Our intern will work side by side with our family, winemaker and cellar master to perform all the steps necessary to make beautiful, world class wines from the vines surrounding our winery. This is a great opportunity to absorb winemaking knowledge and gain in-depth, hands-on experience in small winery production practices.
Our winery is designed to provide a safe, well organized and beautiful work environment. Because we are deeply committed to making wines through the lens of our vineyards, a portion of the work will be outside in the vines, sampling and performing other tasks. Our intern must be a team player and respect our environment inside and outside the winery. At times the work will require lifting heavy objects, working long hours in hot weather, and more. Applicants must be flexible, ethical, and willing and able to follow directions and protocols to the letter. Concentration and focus are required to achieve our meticulous winemaking standards. That focus applies to everything, from performing repetitive tasks to observing our protocols when cleaning everything from winemaking equipment to tanks and drains.
Our intern must be a fluent English speaker and have his or her own transportation and accommodation. Previous winery experience is preferred. Please email us your resume and cover letter. Following harvest we may be adding a full-time member to our production team, so please note there is potentially an opportunity to stay on with us. We look forward to hearing from you.
