SommSelect, a rapidly-growing, artisanal online wine retailer started by Master Sommelier Ian Cauble, is seeking an experienced, organized and motivated Wine Clubs Manager to join our fun, entrepreneurial Marketing Team. This person will serve in a cross-functional role to facilitate the internal coordination and execution of all aspects of our three monthly wine clubs (we were recently named “Best Overall Wine Subscription” by New York Magazine). The Wine Clubs Manager will be responsible for maintaining all facets of the clubs process across operations, marketing, and customer experience in order to drive growth and create a flawless, end-to-end experience for our members.

•  Although this role will sit within the Marketing department and will report into the Director of Marketing, the Wine Clubs Manager will be responsible for cross-functional project management of the entire monthly Clubs process including:
•  Project management and overseeing the Wine Team’s selection of the wine for each month’s clubs, ensuring that wines are selected and ordered on time for all three clubs
•  Operational collaboration and oversight of inventory, billing and necessary resources with Warehouse Director to ensure smooth & on-time processing, packing and shipping of clubs each month
•  Under the oversight of the Director of Marketing, facilitating the creation of all clubs marketing materials including:
¦ Monthly written wine notes and printed collateral for all three clubs starting from partnering with Wine Team on monthly themes and ensuring wine notes are written on deadline, to overseeing the creative development and production of collateral materials with design and printing partners
¦ All Clubs promotional marketing materials including website content, email marketing, social media and digital advertising intended to drive growth of clubs and recurring revenue
•  Customer service and experience management including all communication and troubleshooting for existing members (including questions, billing and shipping queries), as well as developing and improving communication with new members to ensure maximum customer retention and that every customer has a flawless experience from the moment they first sign up throughout their membership
•  Ownership and management of the Clubs Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and monthly planning calendar with the goal of increasing efficiency, streamlining current processes and getting further “upstream” in the planning process

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
•  At least 2-5 years of experience managing a growing and thriving Wine Club with demonstrable results across a cross-functional and multi-faceted process
•  Candidates with comparable experience in other loyalty programs will be considered, though experience in wine is strongly preferred
•  Excellent project management skills across a range of disciplines and personalities
•  Clear and detailed communication style with experience “managing up” to senior leadership
•  Strong creative instincts and marketing experience with an emphasis on email, social media and/or digital marketing a strong plus
•  Outstanding interpersonal skills, including experience/comfort with providing “white glove” service to customers
•  Ability to manage and optimize internal processes with a spirit of collaboration and desire to continually improve
•  A deep sense of personal accountability and self-motivation
•  Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred
