PROJECT MANAGER

Responsibilities:

This is an exciting and seldom available opportunity to play an integral role with one of the most dynamic and innovative organizations in the wine industry. WX Brands is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful management and follow through of assigned Exclusive Brands and National Brands projects. These projects include the development and launch of both national and exclusive label wine brands for some of the largest grocery, club, and convenience chains worldwide. The Project Manager will proactively manage activities and coordinate deliverables, including obtaining necessary approvals, across the entire commercialization and go-to-market process from concept & scoping, planning & design, to the execution phases of assigned projects. The Project Manager will do this by following a well-defined stage gate process and by working cooperatively and closely with the various functional groups across the organization. These groups include Sales, Brand Management/Marketing, Creative Services, Sourcing, Pricing, Legal, Compliance, Production, Logistics, and Field Sales. The ultimate deliverable will be the successful launch of products on time, in spec, and within budget. This is a challenging but critical and central role that requires exceptional organizational and people skills and gives the person broad exposure to the many facets of an exciting and fast-growing organization.

-Working with project stakeholders, manage all aspects of project, from early definition and planning, through production, distribution and delivery of product.
-Build, update, and communicate project plans and deliverables to ensure execution of plans against timelines for assigned projects.
-Track and proactively manage all issues impacting production and delivery timelines.
-Working through various functional groups, drive the production and delivery of artwork and packaging to bottling facilities to meet delivery dates.
-Ensure profitability of projects by first defining, then managing cost of goods through the commercialization process.
-Thoroughly understand customer requirements and ensure adherence to such requirements.
-Work closely with other Project Managers, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Compliance and Operations personnel to ensure smooth information flow and consistent communication.
-Act as an example and advocate for Project Management methodology, principles, and best practices.
-Identify process improvement opportunities within the project management process.
-Assist with development of new project management tools and reports.
-Develop strong working relationships with project stakeholders and team members.
-Other duties as assigned by Director of Project Management.

Requirements:
-Undergraduate or graduate degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
-6-8 years project management experience, ideally in wine industry (this is not a software development opportunity).
-Wine, Beer, Spirits, Beverage, Food or CPG industry Commercialization or New Product Development/launch experience preferred.
-Prior experience with project management systems, software, and methodology required.
-Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and work with many people to deliver exceptional results.
-Cross functional team management.
-Process improvement experience.
-Demonstrated ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in an extremely fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with limited day-to-day supervision.
-Ability to adapt working approach to different situations and personalities.
-Highly organized and deadline driven.
-Effective problem solving and decision-making skills with can-do, take-charge attitude.
-Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
-Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Bonus Points:
-Experience managing the projects of creating beverage alcohol or CPG products is a huge bonus.
-PMP Certification a bonus but not a requirement
