Brand Analytics Manager

Job Description:

Position Purpose

The Brand Analytics Manager provides intellectual support to Marketing, integrates fact-based information into decision making and drives application of fact-based selling by all organizational members. This position evaluates business issues and assesses information needs, proposes methodologies and identifies potential partnerships with vendors. The position also interprets results, delivers presentations with impact and establishes processes for internal and external stakeholders, as well as monitors category and product performance which includes sharing findings with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.

Functional Responsibility

Essential Duties

•  Delivers meaningful data and insights around our consumers to drive brand growth, innovation, profitability and market share gains
•  Identifies new analytic methods to solve complex business problems, and performs in-depth analysis and data mining to uncover drivers of performance
•  Mines trends using syndicated and custom resources and proactively identifies and communicates market and brand driven opportunities for sales growth
•  Understands consumer shopper behavior data and delivers insights to input into brand strategy and development of best in class data driven marketing selling tools
•  Primary interface for ad hoc analyses around consumption; develops and presents insights & capabilities, proprietary analytics and custom solutions at insights and brand team meetings
•  Analyzes and reports monthly on industry, market, and brand performance using a multitude of data resources; identifies and articulates both macro and micro trends and opportunities
•  Collaborates with Marketing teams to define information requirements; creates ad hoc reports as necessary
•  Suggests, develops, and supports company and brand-specific marketing claims
•  Lead trainings with key stakeholders in Marketing to grow insights capabilities across the organization
•  Maintains and manages good working relationships and work-streams with analytical and information vendors and data suppliers
•  Attends and participates in divisional and national sales meetings & nbsp;
•  Attends chain account promotions and events when necessary
•  Remains aware of inventory levels to ensure product availability to support current programming
•  Increases level of wine knowledge through continuous education

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

•  Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business with a Marketing or Statistics concentration
•  Minimum 5+ years of relevant business analysis experience required, with a focus on marketing or business analytics

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•  Fluent in Nielsen/IRI scan data analytics, household panel, loyalty card data, Spectra, and other syndicated and custom data, developing and supporting marketing claims and brand performance
•  Familiarity with wine industry consumer and channel data, and depletion reporting
•  Expert computer skills are required; strength in Excel, PowerPoint, multi-dimensional tables, and ability to report, graph and present complex information
•  Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and clear actionable recommendations
•  Strong understanding of the CPG industry, retail and on-premise channels and strategies, brand and shopper marketing concepts
•  Demonstrated ability to develop and grow internal and external business relationships
•  Ability to effectively work and collaborate within a team structure
•  Strong project management skills and ability to plan and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment
•  Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills
•  Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
