Sales and Marketing Operations Manager

St. Helena, CA

Job Description:

Boutique wine business located on Spring Mountain Road in the mountains between St. Helena and Santa Rosa is looking for a motivated and eager wine professional to manage their sales and marketing activities. This person will report directly to the Owner and Winemaker and should be detail-oriented with excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to work independently and productively. For the right individual, this is position is an opportunity execute all aspects of a wine business and grow with the company.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

•  Handle all customer service inquiries
•  Process all orders and ensure timely fulfillment
•  Develop and create marketing collateral for DTC and Wholesale channels
•  Create and execute email campaigns according to marketing plan with focus on sales growth and customer engagement
•  Manage and maintain website with current information including wine store
•  Manage submissions to media and create collateral with results
•  Execute wine club sales and fulfillment three times per year while focusing on retention and growth of club.
•  Put together monthly email newsletter
•  Manages winery calendar to include all travel and outside events acting as point person for all events
•  Represent winery at outside events with some travel required
•  Manage social media outlets and execute brand strategy
•  Maintain and grow relationships with outside vendors and strategic partners
•  Manage fulfillment ensuring smooth flow between CRM database, compliance software, and fulfillment house
•  Enter PO’s for National Sales and Export sales and offer customer service for distributor partners as needed
•  Maintain accurate inventories at all locations including transfers and inbounds
•  Maintain accurate customer records within Winedirect database
•  Oversee compliance in conjunction with outside compliance company
•  Manage the office including stocking supplies, cleaning, and presentation
•  Manages products in CRM and on website and fulfillment house
•  Assist Owner with administrative duties
•  Assist with management of large ranch estate
•  Assist with wine production duties as needed
•  Assist with wine packaging procurement and packaging projects such as wood boxes, gift packs, and private labels and etching.

Qualifications:

Passion and love for wine
Entrepreneurial mindset
Minimum 3-5 years experience in wine sales and marketing
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to take initiative and develop innovative marketing strategies and programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Significant project management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM software such as Winedirect
Basic HTML and graphic design skills
Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines with aplomb
Ability to work independently with a strong code of ethics and integrity
Bachelor’s or higher degree
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs as required
Valid driver’s license
Occasionally work evenings and weekends
