Position Purpose

The Vice President & nbsp;International oversees and directs the activities, sales, operations, marketing, and staff involved in international markets. With and through direct reports, the VP is responsible for developing international strategy while setting the vision and formulating sales plans to achieve efficient and effective sales results according to product lines and territories, formulating pricing strategies, and developing new markets and channels for product distribution to assure an increase in market share, sales, and profitability. Establishes goals, quotas, sales territories, and distribution outlets while balancing inventory and sales margins. Analyzing/controlling expenditures and reviewing market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, and establishes price and brand/market investment strategies. Coaches, develops, and mentors direct reports and holds them accountable for coaching, developing and managing the performance of their direct reports to achieve success.

Functional Responsibility

•  Creates, communicates, and implements the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction
•  Leads, guides, directs, and evaluates the work of other leaders including directors, and managers
•  Formulates and implements the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business or their area of responsibility
•  Achieves the organization's overall strategic goals and profitability requirements as determined by the strategic plans
•  Forms, staffs, guides, leads, and manages an organization sufficient to accomplish the vice president's responsibilities and job requirements
•  Oversees the complete operation of an organization in accordance with the direction established in the strategic plans
•  Evaluates the success of the organization
•  Maintains awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards, and so forth
•  Performs other responsibilities as assigned

Essential Duties

•  Strategic Planning
•  Oversees the International division to secure long-term worldwide distribution and growth opportunities. Helps leverage portfolio opportunities to maximize long term brand awareness and revenue generation
•  Sets vision for the division and translates vision into actionable business plans
•  Responsible for annual sales/business plans by Division/Sales region/Channel including financial modeling for all segments and new business initiatives
•  Oversees and directs new brand/business development and profitability
•  Develops and updates annually a five-year strategic plan
•  Assess and identifies risks, opportunities, and changing market conditions to develop strategies for growth across the business

•  Leads International Sales Function - All sales outside of the USA including the Caribbean
•  Oversees and directs divisional and regional investment and spending with full P&L accountability
•  Responsible for succession planning and professional development of worldwide sales team, with evolving sales structure to achieve divisional/corporate long-term goals
•  Oversees and directs specialty channels of Duty Free and Travel Retail
•  Sets both short and long term goals to deliver growth and profitability
•  Oversees and develops direct to retail customer base

•  International Marketing
•  Oversees and directs brand development marketing investment and profitability
•  Oversees and directs all international advertising and communications for both trade and consumer
•  Oversees and directs International marketing of core and tactical brands
•  Supports new product development to capitalize on market opportunities
•  Oversees International hospitality

•  International Operations
•  Acts as Managing Director for German GmbH
•  Oversees and directs all aspects of "Off Shore Production" and supply chain activities including procurement and RFP's
•  Oversees and directs divisional forecasting and supply chain activities
•  Drives operational excellence ensuring proper systems, processes, and practices are in place

•  Distributor Relationships
•  Builds senior level relationships with liquor boards, monopolies, distributors and industry groups to enhance Delicato's position globally
•  Drives distributor performance on DFW brands through regular senior level business reviews

•  Distribution
•  Oversees, directs, and develops global distribution network
•  Defines and manages brand/market channel strategies
•  Develops new markets and channels

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

•  Bachelor's degree and extensive business and related industry experience; Master's degree preferred
•  A minimum of 15 years of experience in a leadership role for a large division or company, preferably in non-durable goods manufacturing
•  A minimum of 5 years executive-level, leadership experience in the wine and or spirits industry with references at the highest levels within the industry
•  Experience in $500M privately held, family managed organizations as well as Fortune 500-level public organizations preferred
•  A verifiable hands-on and highly successful track record in performance excellence in meeting targets and objectives
•  Experience in strategic planning and execution, negotiating, and change management
•  International experience in working with diverse cultures and nationalities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•  Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
•  Solid management background, with excellent leadership, planning and organizational skills
•  Advanced knowledge of financial management including creating financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and understanding complex deal structures or contracts
