Job Description:

ASSISTANT SHIPPING COORDINATOR:

This is a part-time position that offers a flexible schedule and may require occasional participation with FOH assistance with the tasting room, guests and winery events. This position is critical to the overall customer satisfaction and success of the winery by providing seamless shipping logistics and execution of the winery’s shipping needs. This position will be working directly with the Shipping Logistics and Wine Club Coordinator.

SHIPPING LOGISTICS & EXECUTION:

This is a back of house position that requires hustle, a sense of urgency, and grace under pressure. The person is responsible for completing all shipping needs in a timely manner and assisting in management of physical wine inventory. Primary responsibilities for this position will include:

- Ensure all winery orders are packed, staged and shipped with efficiency and accuracy
- Evaluate inventory levels for shipping supplies and wines on a weekly basis; request additional supplies as needed to support upcoming shipping activities
- Effectively communicate with Management regarding all wine shipping needs and status of weekly shipment activity
- Assist in managing inventory transfers and restocking all winery inventory areas
- Assist with maintaining accurate monthly inventory of all winery inventory areas
- Ensure cleanliness of work space and winery inventory areas
- Occasionally help with special projects including bottlings, FOH assistance and winery events

EDUCATION/SKILLS:

- Proficiency with computers
- Knowledge of UPS WorldShip, Adobe and Excel is desired but not required
- Valid California Driver’s License


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time, often 5-6 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

COMPENSATION:

- Hourly rate based on experience
