Bottle To Glass, a wholesale distributor and importer of boutique wines, has several opportunities for Sales Professionals, in the Youngstown-Warren and Cincinnati Ohio areas. Bottle to Glass is a boutique wine distributor with a sharply selective palate and years of experience in hand-curating fine wines. We’re passionate about supporting sustainable wine grapes and staying ahead of the latest trends. Featuring both domestic and international vineyards, our portfolio is elegant, intimate and utterly imbibable. Bottle to Glass has a dedicated sales team with experience and industry knowledge, including current wine trends, pricing and marketability of specific varietals. Our sales team is a key part of our curating process; they listen to our customers and keep their finger on the pulse of the industry. In turn, they help select and source our wines; they know and believe in our products. An ideal addition to our team someone who is self-motivated, has previous sales experience, and a basic level of wine knowledge. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.
Sales Representatives make in person calls to retail and restaurant customers, present products and take sales orders. Hours are flexible, but are primarily focused on customer schedule needs. Compensation includes a monthly base stipend, and sales commission. Compensation is based on goals achieved.
Sales representatives report directly to the company owners. Weekly sales plans and daily sales calls reporting are required. Establish, maintain, and develop a sales call route. Learn, and be able to effectively present products. Develop excellent wine knowledge, including aiding customers in developing product offerings. Professional conduct and appearance, including maintaining excellent grooming and hygiene standards are a must.
While hours are flexible, to be a successful representative you will need to make 6-10 sales calls per day, Monday through Friday, during retail and restaurant hours. Some evening and weekend event attendance is also important to support customer events.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, and have a high school diploma. College Education is a plus. Wine education will also be considered. Representatives must have their own car, and be able to lift 25 pounds. Representative must have basic computer skills and be able to use company business software applications, including spreadsheet, word processing, email and social media. Training for company specific software will be provided. Communication skills, both written, and oral, should be professional and effective. Interpersonal skills should always convey a positive attitude, with a willingness to help the company and the customers succeed. Sales representatives must be able to qualify for an Ohio Solicitors Permit.
