Wine background with college degree or work equivalent. Strong communications, staff management and sales skills required. Work in conjunction with existing Tasting Room Manager in a dynamic and fast paced tasting room to accomplish the following:
Manage the tasting room, including interviewing, hiring and thoroughly training part-time personnel. Maintain a schedule to ensure the tasting room is properly covered for special events.
Work toward weekly/monthly sales goals.
Responsible for all interior and exterior housekeeping and maintenance in Woodinville.
Manage both wineries’ club pickups at the Woodinville site.
Manage both wineries’ inventories and request / coordinate inventory transfer from Tiger Mountain or Walla Walla.
Primary contact for coordinating functions in Woodinville and Seattle/Bellevue area such as winemaker dinners, etc.
Work with the Walla Walla and Vancouver Tasting Room and Club staffs to share ideas on making the four tasting rooms more functional and more productive.
Selected offsite local events.
Maintain a good working relationship with neighboring wineries and work together with them for selected events and promotions.
Maintain a good relationship with landlord.
Manage Inventory and for both wineries and create monthly inventory reports for Walla Walla.
Manage volunteers’ schedules and hours for the tasting room.
Create and distribute the monthly employee schedules for the tasting room.
Social media, marketing, and trade interaction as required.
