Position: West Coast Sales Manager
Industry: Wine Industry (French wine)
Location: Remote from anywhere on the West Coast - USA
Employment: Full Time
Travel Time: 75%
Reports to: Area Export Director

We are a major producer in the Rhône Valley seeking a West Coast Sales Manager with a proven track record of success to support our fast-growing development in the United States. Candidates need to know how to successfully sell and promote French wines in the US as well as develop sales forecasts, set distributor objectives, monitor performance/KPIs and provide weekly reporting.

•  Develop sales for our brands in the US market in close collaboration with our importers and distributors
•  Be an ambassador for our brands in the market: work with, staff training, marketing plan activation, tradeshows and events, prospection, etc.
•  Monitor our importer and distribution partners’ depletions
•  Educate, train, develop, and motivate our distributors’ sales force
•  Ensure sales execution, pricing integrity, and brand strategic development with our importer and distributor partner’s staff and sales force
•  Follow strategy set by management to meet sales objectives
•  Schedule and conduct sales meetings and product presentations with our importers and distributors
•  Implement marketing actions: events, promotions, advertising, partnership agreements, etc.
•  Share market feedback: Monitor competition and market trends and evolution
•  Prospect new accounts following the sales strategy established with management
•  Weekly communication with management (activity and market reports)

Experience and skills needed:
•  Fluent in English and French (required)
•  Must be authorized to work in the United States (required)
•  Minimum of 3 years wine/spirit sales experience in the United States (preferred)
•  Wine knowledge (regions, varietals, food pairing)
•  US wine industry knowledge: 3-tier system, compliance, importers, distributors, market trends
•  Goal-oriented and focused on exceeding expectations
•  Strong sales and negotiation skills
•  Excellent communication skills
•  Ability to work remote and independently
•  Excellent organization and time management skills, ability to work under pressure.
•  Ability to communicate enthusiasm and maintain positive attitude
•  Ability to understand and manage budgets, profitability, and expense activity
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office
•  Professional presentation, integrity, credibility and self-confidence
•  Strong public speaking and presentation skills
•  Ability to drive and maintain a valid and/or current driver's license
