ABOUT THE WINERY: A premium cabernet focused winery founded in 2002 and is poised for its most exciting year yet. A brand-new state-of-the-art and appointment only winery is being built along the Silverado Trail in Napa and the brand is undergoing an exciting makeover and update. This position will begin at the current tasting room in downtown Yountville and transition to the new winery upon its completion in early 2020. The winery’s legacy is built upon decades of producing top scoring Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from its estate vineyards on top of Atlas Peak. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for hosting winery guests, building relationships, and providing outstanding service. The winery prides itself on producing word-class wines and providing genuine and attentive hospitality. The main responsibility will be to fondly greet guests upon their arrival to the winery, take them on an informative tour of the winery, conduct a tasting of the portfolio, and conclude with sales and wine club sign ups. When not hosting, you will be providing customer service and outreach support via phone and email and assisting the hospitality team with winery events and other projects as needed.

•  Host guests at the winery for tastings and tours and provide genuine hospitality
•  Understand the needs and wants of each customer and tailor your presentation and sales strategy accordingly
•  Effectively sell wine and sign up new club members at the conclusion of the tasting
•  Perform opening and closing procedures in accordance with daily checklists
•  Ensure cleanliness of tasting room, office, and work space and adherence to health department code and standards
•  Assist in the planning and execution of winery events
•  Collaborate and work effectively with your team members
•  Ensure compliance with all shipping, alcohol service, and other laws and regulations
•  Represent the winery in a professional manner at all times including when on and off the clock
•  Other projects and duties as assigned

•  AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE working in either sales, hospitality, operations, production, or administration for a luxury winery
•  Ability to work weekends
•  Knowledge of wine and wine production is strongly preferred
•  Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
•  Prefer experience with WineDirect
•  Meticulous organization skills and strong attention to detail
•  Natural self-starter and internally motivated to take ownership of role and see projects to completion with minimal supervision
•  Strong team player that is able to effectively collaborate with team to work towards accomplishing goals
•  Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
•  Unwavering professionalism with the ability to always represent the brand in the best light on and off the clock
•  Valid California driver’s license
•  TIPS Certification (valid or will be required to take course within first 30 days)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and use office equipment for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders, occasionally. Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
