We are a wine based product located in Healdsburg, CA. We are bypassing traditional distribution systems and are exclusively sold online.

The Operations Director will oversee, manage, implement, and direct operations to ensure they attain or exceed quality standards, productivity goals, budget and unit cost objectives, new product development support, and oversee infrastructure upgrades to our facilities.

This position ensures production schedules are met, inventories are managed and maximum product quality standards are achieved. The Operations Director will build and promote efficient resource utilization between all aspects of production, will work closely with management and other departments to develop and implement efficient and cost effective systems centered on employee safety, clear communication, streamlined processes and effective job execution.

In addition, the Operations Director will oversee, direct, and manage the production staff ensuring all areas are functioning efficiently, cost effectively and at maximum potential, while maintaining a strong focus on a quality product.

Operations Director will report directly to the Co-CEOs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and direct the production operations and assigned staff to meet or exceed established cost, quality, and productivity standards
Manage departmental business planning, budgeting, training, quality improvement, continuous improvement, and spending control processes

Provide leadership to employees, cultivate a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership

Ensure the operability of assigned equipment and machinery functions properly
Ensure the integrity of the business' systems, databases and software as it pertains to production operations

Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the operation while minimizing its environmental impact

Participate in oversight of compliance with environmental regulations
Participate in oversight of compliance with alcohol DTC sales regulations
Participate in oversight of compliance with other State and Federal regulations
Participate in new product and technology development initiatives

Coordinate with accounting and compliance departments to ensure that the cellar staff performs and records monthly inventory counts and transfers in accordance with TTB guidelines

Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.

Lead build out of production locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:
7+ years broad management experience in production operations.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of government regulations, especially TTB.
Practical knowledge of Cellar Operations.

Requires in-depth experience in a high paced production environment.
Requires demonstrated effective leadership in a team environment, a high level of self initiative, effective communication skills, and a thorough understanding of process management and continuous improvement.

Experience in lean manufacturing.
