We are looking for 1 Entry Level Cellar Hand to come join our small team. As a Cellar Hand, you'll be expected to be an integral part of the winemaking team and participate in all aspects of the winemaking process. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
-Crushpad work (fruit sorting, additions, press operation, cleaning and sanitizing equipment)
-General cellar work (pumpovers/punchdowns, additions, cleaning, barrel work, cleaning, barrel topping, cleaning, wine movement, cleaning, winery upkeep,etc)
-Data entry and record keeping
Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts and long hours may be required, especially during harvest. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, dragging wine hoses and bending is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Experience is great, but work ethic and attitude are more important. We are willing to train for the right fit. Work is challenging, with very long hours during the harvest season. The ideal candidate is able to handle physically challenging work and mentally stay focused for long hours at a time. Candidates should be fluent in English and be able to pass a background check
