Sales Rep – Spirits – Central NY
1099 contract opportunity (29 hours)
Opportunity for advancement/full-time after 6 months

Position Summary
Responsible for brand building efforts for ROC House Brands’ (our proprietary spirits division of LiDestri) entire portfolio in highly targeted on and off premise accounts. Focused efforts will be in the designated territory, as determined by the Regional Sales Director (RSD).
Duties & Responsibilities:
•  Responsible for championing brand image and equity and creating trial in targeted accounts for assigned brand;
•  Work closely with RSD and through local distribute personnel to develop relationships with key accounts, achieve targeted depletion growth and focused distribution objectives, by brand within the assigned territories through implementation of the brand plans, with on and off premise focus;
•  Focus is to spend maximum time in market executing ROC House Brands’ sales programs consistent with volume and distribution objectives;
•  Responsible for reporting local market competitive intelligence data needed to drive recommendations to management;
•  Sales plan execution:
•  Working with assigned RSD and other contacts to coordinate all assigned brand planning with distributors;
•  Execute market specific promotions;
•  Conduct staff trainings and tastings/demos;
•  Ensure effective execution and reporting of ROC House account programs and placements;
•  Call on key accounts as assigned by ROC House Brands RSD and through distributor sales personnel to expand distribution and develop new sales opportunities;
•  Monitor, anticipate, report on and respond to competitive activity;
•  Recommend remedial action plans for any competitive activity that threatens brand plan achievement to RSD;
•  Monitor distributor inventory of support materials, working though appropriate on/off manager to fill account and market needs;
•  Relationship management:
•  Participate in regular meetings, reviews, and trainings with distributor personnel to ensure proper execution of brand marketing tactics and distributor performance toward meeting sales objectives;
•  Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributor personnel;
•  Develop and maintain position business relationships with several key accounts in the state;
•  Work closely with ROC House Brands/LiDestri counterparts across company, as needed;
•  Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Required Education, Skills, & Experience
•  High school diploma or GED, required, bachelor’s degree, preferred;
•  2 years’ industry experience and/or 2-3 years’ sales experience in a consumer products industry;
•  On-premise sales experience in alcohol beverage industry;
•  Must possess a valid state driver’s license;
•  Demonstrated ability to build relationship and maintain effective working relationships with distributors and accounts;
•  Demonstrated ability to develop strong coaching and sales training skills;
•  Demonstrated knowledge of on and off-premise business and three-tier distribution system;
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
•  Must be a team player, keeping relevant parties informed of activities;
•  Good overall product and industry knowledge;
•  Highly organized, capable of meeting multiple deadlines and juggling multiple projects.

Working Conditions:
•  Regularly required to sit, use hands;
•  Frequent need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with a potential of up to 60 pounds;
•  Ability to travel to and from distributors;
•  Sedentary office environment;
•  Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.);
•  Must follow Good Manufacturing Practice (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing Plant).
