Job Description:

Sales & Business Development Manager - The Village at Vista Collina Resort | Napa

As a member of the sales and business development team of The Village, this position plans, organizes and executes sales, partnership and event initiatives to achieve The Village's revenue objectives.

Tasting Room Sales: 50%

* Partner with Director of Marketing to develop annual sales plan; define projects and manage through completion
* Partner with Area Director of Sales to develop group upsell program and tasting room opportunities
* Connect with area DMCs to drive outside group business into the tasting rooms
* Conduct ongoing meetings with key stakeholders at individual Tasting Rooms Develop and leverage industry relationships to drive traffic and revenue
* Form meaningful relationships with key tour operators and transportation companies, including reservation and tracking system
* Connect with visitor center to outline shuttle and day traffic opportunities
* Attend industry events as the representative of The Village
* Monitor progress through monthly reporting to management.
* Analyze sales and impact, and provide recommendations as to what is driving performance

Food & Wine Center Sales: 50%

* Partner with Director of Marketing to develop annual sales plan; define projects and manage through completion
* Assist in ideation of events, partnerships and other activations that will aid in achieving revenue goals
* Partner with Area Director of Sales to capture group business in the Cooking Center
* Connect with area DMCs to attract outside group business
* Partner with Director of Marketing to develop annual event calendar, load all classes on ecommerce platform and manage registration and sales process for each class
* Monitor progress through monthly reporting to management. Analyze sales and impact, and provide recommendations as to what is driving performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, public relations or equivalent. Ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen with 5 years experience in the wine industry with established hospitality relationships in Wine Country. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all departments for results. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and very organized. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook). Innovative thinker, resourceful learner, able to find solutions in fast-moving industry
