Position Summary

Under direction from the Vineyard Director the Vineyard Manager is responsible for managing the day to operations for the Vineyard. The Manager also supports the daily activities to meet the agreed fruit quality and quantity as set out by the Viticulture Department strategy.

* Organize staff and seasonal workers in daily work programs as requested by the Director
* Ensure activities are recorded, up to date, within prescribed programs
* Manage staff under your control in a positive manner, providing feedback via the CBUS appraisal process in conjunction with the Director
* Develop and implement Vinicultural plans and budgets. Assist with associated invoice control, record keeping and monitoring of budgets
* Responsibility for effective day to day management of resources.
* Implement Harvest logistics
* Ensure company vineyards follow HR compliance programs and all associated administration requirements are maintained for all staff members
* Implement property and machinery maintenance programs to maximize useful life of company assets.
* Ensure CBUS is a cost effective, quality producer by constantly evaluating viticultural processes and equipment, and seeking continuous improvement
* Comply with and actively ensure safety and quality working practices of self and others in accordance with Constellations Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures
* Any other duties as reasonably required

Minimum Qualifications
* Viticulture experience - at least 5 years
* Demonstrated history of effective people management
* Exposure to effectively organizing and allocating staff resources
* Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
* Well-developed organizational and communication skills
* Ability to use MS office, and Computer Database's
* Exceptional communication skills written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications
* Horticultural/Viticultural degree
* Demonstrated history of effective people management
* 1+ years of experience with AG Code Software
* Exposure to effectively organizing and allocating staff and resources
* A wide range of demonstrated vineyard experience
* Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
* Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
* Must be able to stand, walk, sit
* Must be able to move up to 55lbs
