Job Description:

Rodney Strong Wine Estates is a family owned company that farms 14 estate vineyards and crafts wines from Sonoma County’s finest appellations – Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, Chalk Hill, Dry Creek Valley, and Sonoma Coast. The winery was founded in 1959 by Sonoma County wine pioneer Rodney D. Strong as the 13th bonded winery in the county. It was purchased by the Klein family, a third generation California farming family, in 1989. The company aspires to conserve and protect the environment in all its operations through sustainable practices, solar power, and fish friendly farming.

We are currently seeking an Ecommerce/Wine Club Manager who is responsible for the division operations and execution of the strategic plan. This role works collaboratively with all related teams to deliver a positive and enhanced consumer experience at all touch points and works to ensure Ecommerce and Club goals are met. The Wine Club Coordinator reports into this role.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Works with DTC Director to develop long and short-term sales strategies and tactics for the Ecommerce and Wine Club channels. Includes updating, adapting and growing
the Club as driven by market dynamics.
•  Works with Marketing team to strategically plan for new allocated, exclusive brands/ line extensions for the DTC/Club channel with focus on execution and building a new
channel
•  Delivers creative ideas for reaching new consumers and building Club growth plans across all portfolio items
•  Analytically-minded and dexterous with numbers and data, and ultimately able to translate data analysis to actionable business insights while driving sales for DTC channel
•  Leads ecommerce/email marketing channel that achieves growth goals with ability to segment subscriber list and work with team on ongoing content to support overall
brand marketing strategies; tracks and reports Ecommerce performance against established metrics
•  Utilizes data to identify, size and prioritize opportunities for improvement against KPIs
•  Participates in revenue goal generation and evaluates sales performance to goals
•  Updates and maintains products in AMS and website platforms and updates regional events pages
•  Works closely with the Marketing team on all brand websites with an eye for consumer experience/ user interface
•  Manages DTC/Club budget with responsibility for invoices, planning and delivering a budget on plan
•  Helps oversee and participates in the design and execution of Wine Club events
•  Monitors and maintains proper inventory levels at fulfillment house; Coordinates wine inventory transfers
•  Assists in Summer Concert Series ticket management and tracking
•  Responsible for the maintenance of Wine Club and Ecommerce databases
•  Contributes to the development of Wine Club and Ecommerce communications
•  Works with Wine Club Coordinator to identify and resolve customer service issues
•  Responsible for managing the relationships with third party marketing partners and fulfillment house
•  Ability to create positive working relationships and partnerships with Visitor Center/Hospitality
•  Actively seeks new business opportunities to drive sales including new concepts like Holiday Gifts or Corporate gifting

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  BS/BA degree preferably in marketing
•  Three or more years of successful winery DTC experience required; luxury experience a plus
•  Experience working with winery POS and CRM platforms is a plus such as AMS, Vin 65/ Wine Direct, Commerce 7
•  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
•  Basic HTML coding and database management experience a plus
•  Acute attention to detail, ability to anticipate customer needs and respond appropriately
•  Strong analytical, written, proofing and interpersonal communications skills required
•  P & L management experience
•  Dynamic, motivated, team-oriented self-starter that can adapt to a changing environment
•  Strong design sensibilities and understanding of end-user goals required
•  Proven ability to manage, mentor and lead people
