Job Description:

CLE Urban Winery in Cleveland Heights, OH seeks a Sales and Marketing Manager to lead wholesale wine sales and marketing activities as part of the winery’s senior leadership team.

Critical Tasks and Responsibilities of this role include:
•  Serve as a brand ambassador for CLE Urban Winery and our wines in all you do
•  Develop and implement a Sales and Marketing Plan for wine sales, initially across Northeast Ohio and then expanding into Central and Southern Ohio
•  Be responsible and accountable for the successful implementation of our Sales and Marketing Plan, selling into new and existing accounts and achieving set sales goals
•  Research, develop and qualify a robust pipeline of wholesale wine sale opportunities
•  Schedule and conduct sales calls independently and with winery leadership
•  Develop and nurture customer, vendor and distributor relationships
•  Interface with our wholesale distributor to support and facilitate wine sales and deliveries
•  Collaborate with Tasting Room Manager to Increase retail wine sales at the winery
•  Develop wine marketing/promotional materials for brand awareness and development
•  Research, develop and qualify corporate giving and custom label sales opportunities
•  Work independently and with winery leadership to schedule and conduct wine marketing events
•  Supervise, direct and manage other sales personnel and sales activities/events

Required Skills & Qualifications:
•  Beverage industry professional with a minimum of 3 years of sales management experience; wine sales background is preferred
•  Proven ability and results in developing and executing a Sales and Marketing Plan
•  Experience and demonstrated results in selling wine into restaurants, venues and retail stores
•  Proven ability to generate and develop sales leads and a qualified sales pipeline
•  Demonstrated business development and marketing skills and experience
•  Proven ability to act independently as a brand ambassador
•  Demonstrated success in building and maintaining collaborative relationships
•  Experience supervising and managing sales activities and events

Other Key Qualifications::
•  Must have existing trade/account relationships in Ohio
•  Must have excellent communication and interpersonal relationship building skills
•  Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
•  Must be able to lift/carry wine sample bag
•  Must have strong organizational skills and record-keeping abilities
