Position Summary

The Innovation Project Manager is responsible for guiding innovation initiatives (new product development, line extensions, package changes, etc) through Constellation Brands Stage Gate process from initial conception to launch. This role is instrumental to help bring innovation to market faster in a more effective and efficient manner. This individual will manage multiple projects simultaneously and utilize formal project management methodologies. In addition, a successful candidate will manage projects within Constellation's project and portfolio management system and act as the hub across all functional project teams. This position requires a strong project manager that has experience working across business units (both upstream and downstream) and with internal stakeholders. This role also requires a high level of business acumen to see the big picture as well as manage the project details.

Responsibilities
* "Own" the pipeline for a set number of projects
* Organize cross-functional input (eg: finance, operations, insights, marketing) for new projects
* Manage relationships and act as the "activist" role in overcoming obstacles and keeping projects progressing through the Stage Gate process
* Identify process improvements and be the champion on execution of Constellation processes across various teams
* Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, agenda, follow-up notes, risk profiles and supply cross-functional tasks
* Identify commercialization hurdles and drive resolutions
* Communicate project status and milestones to key stakeholders and ensure teams are accountable to complete tasks at hand
* Ensure all projects and initiatives are managed through project and portfolio management system, Planview
* Support cross-functional teams in utilizing Planview, and track projects across teams
* Manage set of projects through monthly Innovation Board meeting with leadership and ensure all projects are prepared and ready within given set windows
+ Compile all briefs and pilot plans on behalf of team; revise risk assessment of project
+ Compile all post mortems for review and improvements

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of project management experience
* New product development and execution experience
* Strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage aggressive timelines
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and prioritize projects along with ongoing ad-hoc requests and/or initiatives
* Successful in navigating change, solving problems, and consulting with cross-functional business partners
* Demonstrated top notch organization skills, and proven ability to guide processes, while developing creative solutions to meet changing business needs
* A proven track record of successfully delivering projects on-time and within scope
* Proficient in relevant project management software and Microsoft Project
* Team Player ("Can-do" Attitude)
* Brilliant at relationship management
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Preferred Qualifications
* PMP Certification
* Beverage industry experience
* Experience with data driven software

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods
