If you are a proven, self-motivated, high-energy professional who loves working on a variety of projects in gorgeous surroundings, we would like to chat about a position with a highly acclaimed estate wine operation.
We are a small high-end boutique winery looking for an exemplary administrative assistant to join our small team. This position will provide administrative, sales, accounting and compliance support to the Estate Director and assist winemaker with production logistics.
A suitable candidate must have wine industry administrative experience, excellent communications skills oral and written, be high proficiency with Mac, MS Office, and familiarity with such applications as QuickBooks, Dropbox, Evernote, Shipcompliant. Social Media experience a big plus. Please do not apply if you are a technophobe!
The single most important skill is being a self-starter. If you need constant direction and to-do lists, this is not for you. You will be required to do a wide variety of administrative tasks including reception, phone, email and calendar. You will have interactions with clients, vendors, and suppliers. You will be processing orders, maintain inventory, dealing with event support, assisting the national sales team, assisting with grower relations, and impeccably handling all state compliance matters. While you are not expected to be a bookkeeper you must be familiar with financial operations and interface to the accountants. You must be punctual, and deadline driven.
We need a cheerful, can-do person willing to take on tasks without a lot of oversight. There will be many days where you are the only person in the office, but you will be always welcome to have your lunch in the fresh air of the glorious vineyard.
It is a 35-40-hour work week Monday-Friday. You may be asked for additional hours as required. You must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift 45 lbs. for occasional light organization of the inhouse wine cellar. Spanish speaking a plus.
If this sounds like you – we’d love to chat immediately.
