General Purpose and Scope of Position
Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a Field Technology Coordinator to provide in field data collection, processing and general sales support duties in a fast-paced, customer-focused sales environment. Assist in all aspects of cutting edge agricultural technology data collection in the field and data assessment in the office.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
College student majoring in Agriculture, Plant Science, or Horticulture
Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)
Intermediate level proficiency with standard software including MS Office Suite
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle within state laws and company policies and guidelines
Excellent math skills and the ability to maintain accurate counts
Ability to repetitively bend, kneel and walk long distances while working in a non-climate controlled environment and outside in inclement weather
Key Personal Attributes Include:
Requires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees
Willingness and desire to work overtime hours during busy seasons. Occasionally may need to work Saturdays.
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Assist Branch Manager with organization and data collection of field plot and or pilot technology that supports the Field Technology Services
Use GPS technology to map fields
Become proficient with our AgVerdict Software Program
Comply with company safety standards
Take field samples as needed or directed by Branch Manager
Assist Branch Manager with any other projects
