Luna Vineyards, located in the Oak Knoll District in Napa Valley, is a luxury wine company in Napa Valley. We are focused on growing and making the most exciting Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate Grown Chardonnay, Sangiovese and Estate Grown Pinot Gris in Napa Valley. Included in our luxury portfolio is Pinot Noir grown in Santa Rita Hills. We make aCrisp, Lunatic and Asylum as well. All wines are distributed nationally.
The District Sales Manager role will be primarily focused on field work to support our wholesale partners and engage key customers throughout the specified region. The overall objective is to build the distribution of Luna Vineyards Blue Label in restaurants and fine wine retail along with supporting retail distribution for aCrisp, Lunatic and Asylum in order to grow our overall case volume.

The right person will focus on new distribution of Blue Label in restaurants, fine wine retail and support new chain retail placements for aCrisp, Lunatic and Asylum to maximize case volume. Distribution in new accounts will be a key indicator of success in this position. This position requires 4-5 days working in the market and the ability to travel effectively, staying in budget.
" Work closely with distributor network on a weekly basis to execute distribution and brand building initiatives
" Report daily and weekly to the Vice President of National Sales on success and opportunities in the market
" Call on key accounts in the region independent of the wholesaler
" Educate distributor personnel and key account customers on Luna Vineyards Blue Label, aCrisp, Lunatic and Asylum
" Make presentations to distributor network on weekly/monthly basis to educate them on direction and brand standards
" Conduct trade tastings and wine dinners targeting our key trade partners and consumer fan base
" Effectively target POS usage and merchandising material in the right accounts
" Monitor competitive activities in the market place and communicate to the appropriate people with a suggested plan of action
" 1-2+ years of selling in Fine Wine Retail and/or Restaurants. Distributor and/or Supplier experience a bonus.
" Knowledge of key trade account buyers buying and promotional practices and operational procedures.
" Working knowledge of wine from world's major viticulture regions.
" Excellent interpersonal skills with the highest level of integrity.
" Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written.
" Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
" Focused and energetic with the ability to execute 3-4 ride withs per week.
" Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
" Bachelor's Degree preferred.
" Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
