What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable File Clerk to join our Finance Team in our Ashland, VA office. The ideal candidate for this position is sorts, indexes, and files company documents, both paper and electronic, to insure fast and accurate retention and retrievability.

Some of the essential duties of this position are:

-Reads incoming material and sorts according to file system.

-Maintains both electronic and paper files. May require stooping, bending, and reaching to gain access to files receptacles, as well as lifting of file boxes up to 40 pounds inn weight.

-Searches for and investigates information contained in files; inserts additional data in/on file records, completes reports, keeps files current, and supplies information from file data; removes/replaces files upon request.

-Keeps records of material removed, stamps material received, and traces missing files in/out by staff.

-Types indexing information on folders and electronic files.

-Verifies accuracy of material to be filed.

-Classifies material when classification is not readily discernable.

-Disposes of obsolete files in accordance with established retirement schedule or legal requirements.

-Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

-Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.

What Are the Requirements?

The successful candidate in this position will have:

-High School Diploma

-1-2 years' experience working in an office environment, filing preferred.

-Excellent math, interpersonal and communication skills.

-Ability to type 40wpm and 10-key by touch

Ideally, we'd like a candidate who also:

- Highly detail-oriented with proven ability to organize and prioritize assignments.
