POSITION SUMMARY:

Vintage Wine Estates is a collection of vintner family-owned winery estates and brands based in Santa Rosa, California. We are an industry leader across all sales channels and dedicated to providing wine consumers with a range of wine selections from $10 to $150 dollars. Vintage Wine Estates is a dynamic, growing organization seeking a Concierge to join our team at BR Cohn Winery in Sonoma County. Customer service is central in our culture, with focus on both our external and our internal customers. BR Cohn Winery has been making small lot, vineyard designated wines since 1984. Nestled between Sonoma Mountain and the Mayacamas Mountain range, the winery offers an inviting, relaxing environment for discovering new wines. We want to add a friendly, out-going and high-energy team member that enjoys creating a memorable experience for our guests. Professionals with bartending and/or restaurant experience are highly desirable. Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Hours may vary from 11:30am-7:30pm.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Organizes VIP tasting requests
•  Crafts elevated tasting itineraries for VIP guests
•  Answers phone calls and emails in a timely manner
•  Responsible for positive customer interactions, specifically greeting and welcoming guests, checking guests in for appointments, assisting guests with tasting options and questions while managing the flow of tasting room traffic
•  Provide appropriate communication and follow through for tasting appointments via email and phone
•  Schedule and log tasting appointments as necessary following established guidelines
•  Greet guests in a gracious and professional manner, confirm appointment status
•  Be familiar with and able to describe wine tasting options to guest
•  Manage flow of guest appointments for both scheduled and walk in appointments
•  Inform Manager of any conflicts or possible issues with tasting room host before seating
•  Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS:

•  Commitment to excellence and high standards
•  Proficient on the computer (familiar with POS systems, Microsoft Office)
•  Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
•  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
•  Ability to manage priorities and workflow
•  Professional appearance and demeanor
•  Excellent customer service skills

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

•  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position
•  Must be at least 18 years of age
•  Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly
•  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
•  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
•  Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

•  Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
