Hospitality Concierge
Rutherford Hill Winery | Napa Valley, California
Be the First Hello in an Unforgettable Experience
At Rutherford Hill Winery, exceptional hospitality begins long before the first glass of wine is poured. From the moment a guest calls, sends an email, or arrives at our property, every interaction is an opportunity to make them feel welcome and valued.
We’re looking for a warm, outgoing, and highly organized Concierge who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and takes pride in making every interaction feel effortless. You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our guests, helping them discover experiences that best suit their visit while ensuring the details behind the scenes are handled with care.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, a natural problem-solver, and a dependable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy balancing multiple priorities, keeping information organized, and thinking one step ahead.
What You'll Do
As our Concierge, you’ll help guide guests through their Rutherford Hill journey, from their first inquiry to their arrival at the winery. You’ll help guests plan their visit and work with the hospitality team to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
• Creating a warm welcome: Greet guests with genuine enthusiasm, provide thoughtful recommendations, and introduce visitors to experiences that best fit their interests. Confidently communicate our offerings while encouraging upgrades to premium and private experiences.
• Managing reservations and communications: Serve as the primary contact for incoming reservation calls and emails, responding promptly and professionally. Manage booking requests, confirm upcoming visits, and help guests feel prepared for their arrival.
• Keeping details in order: Accurately maintain guest information and reservation records. Use reservation and table-management systems to coordinate seating, monitor availability, manage waitlists, and minimize guest wait times.
• Helping guests discover more: Develop knowledge of Rutherford Hill wines, tasting experiences, sister properties, and the surrounding Napa Valley area. Make personalized recommendations, assist with sister-property reservations, and identify opportunities to enhance each visit.
• Working as one team: Collaborate with management, wine educators, and fellow hospitality team members to coordinate arrivals and maintain a seamless guest experience. Assist with greeting, pouring, and other tasting room responsibilities during peak periods.
• Thinking ahead: Anticipate guest needs, identify opportunities to improve the experience, and take ownership of follow-up tasks and special projects assigned by management.
Cross-training opportunities at Rutherford Hill and within our hospitality operations may also be available.
The Person We're Looking For

A collaborative team player. You communicate openly, support your colleagues, and understand that exceptional hospitality depends on everyone working together. You approach challenges with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. You can balance phone calls, emails, walk-in guests, and reservation changes without losing your composure or attention to detail. You stay organized under pressure and prioritize competing needs effectively.
