Hospitality Attendant

Terlato Wine Group

Rutherford, CA

Job Description:

Rutherford Hill Winery | Napa Valley, California
Be Part of Something Special
At Rutherford Hill Winery, hospitality is about more than serving wine. It’s about creating memorable experiences, anticipating guests’ needs, and making every visitor feel genuinely welcome. Our team takes pride in the details, supports one another, and works together to deliver the exceptional experience our guests have come to expect.
We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Hospitality Attendant who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in a job well done. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, a can-do spirit, and a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay organized when things get busy, and understand that even the smallest details can make a big difference in a guest’s experience.
If you enjoy staying active, helping others, and working alongside people who care about what they do, we’d love to meet you!
What You'll Do
As a Hospitality Attendant, you’ll help ensure our tasting room, outdoor spaces, and guest areas are clean, organized, and ready to welcome visitors throughout the day. Working closely with our hospitality team and management, you’ll play an important role in keeping service running smoothly and creating a polished, inviting environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
•  Maintaining clean, polished, and well-stocked glassware, dishware, and service areas.
•  Clearing and resetting tables, keeping countertops and floors clean, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere throughout the property.
•  Inspecting restrooms regularly and ensuring they remain clean and properly stocked.
•  Assisting guests with wine purchases by retrieving and delivering purchased wines to their vehicles when needed.
•  Restocking merchandise, tasting room materials, and other supplies to ensure the team is always prepared.
•  Responding warmly and professionally to guest questions and requests, communicating needs promptly to the appropriate team member.
•  Helping with daily opening, service, and closing responsibilities, along with other tasks that support the success of the team.
No two days are exactly alike, and flexibility is essential. We’re looking for someone who sees what needs to be done, takes initiative, and is willing to lend a hand without waiting to be asked.
The Person We're Looking For
Dependable and hardworking. You show up on time, follow through on commitments, and take ownership of your responsibilities. Your teammates know they can count on you.
A true team player. You understand that great hospitality is a group effort. You communicate well, treat others with respect, and are always willing to help a teammate when things get busy.
Positive and solutions-oriented. You bring good energy to the workplace, approach challenges with a can-do attitude, and look for ways to make things better rather than reasons they can't be done.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy staying active, can balance multiple priorities, and remain composed and productive during busy service periods.
Attentive to the details. You take pride in your work, notice when something needs attention, and understand that cleanliness, organization, and preparation are essential to an exceptional guest experience.
Guest-focused and approachable. You enjoy helping people, recognize the importance of thoughtful service, and understand that every interaction contributes to the overall guest experience.
Self-motivated and adaptable. You take initiative, accept direction and feedback graciously, and are comfortable stepping outside your routine to support the needs of the business.
Qualifications & Requirements
•  Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are equally important.
•  Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
•  Effective communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor.
•  Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and interact respectfully with guests from diverse backgrounds.
•  Ability to understand and communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
•  Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
•  Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Why Join Our Team?
At Rutherford Hill, every team member contributes to something bigger than their individual role. We value people who take pride in their work, support their colleagues, and bring genuine enthusiasm to the guest experience. This is an opportunity to work in a beautiful Napa Valley setting, learn more about the wine and hospitality industry, and be part of a team that appreciates the importance of working together.
If you’re dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and ready to bring a positive attitude to work every day, we encourage you to apply.
