Russian River Vineyards is seeking an outgoing, organized, sales-minded Events & Hospitality Sales Coordinator to help grow and manage our private events, large-party experiences, winery events, community partnerships, and hospitality business.

This is more than an event-planning position. We're looking for a self-starter who enjoys creating opportunities, building relationships, and helping grow business.
The right person will be equally comfortable developing new business, responding to event inquiries, giving property tours, coordinating with our kitchen and tasting room teams, representing RRV in the community, and jumping into the tasting room when needed.

Hours & Opportunity for Growth
Hours are flexible and will vary based on business needs, scheduled events, and the initiative of the person in the role.
This position has the potential to grow to approximately 30–40 hours per week for someone who actively develops event business, builds community and industry relationships, creates new opportunities, and is willing to support our tasting room and hospitality team.
We are looking for someone who sees opportunities and pursues them.

Key Responsibilities

Private Events & Large Parties
•  Respond to private event, group, and bottle-service inquiries.
•  Conduct property tours for prospective clients.
•  Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts.
•  Follow up with leads and help convert inquiries into booked business.
•  Coordinate deposits, food, wine, seating, timelines, staffing, vendors, and event logistics.
•  Communicate event details with our kitchen, tasting room, management team, and outside partners.
•  Assist with setup and oversee events when assigned as Event Captain.
•  Complete necessary post-event reporting and follow-up.

Winery Events
Help plan and execute RRV events including VIP Barrel Tastings, Wine Club events and pickup parties, winemaker dinners, Community Nights/Happy Hours, special tastings, and other winery events.
Responsibilities may include coordinating vendors and catering partners, staffing, setup, event execution, and post-event follow-up.

Community & Industry Partnerships
Represent RRV with Taste Route 116, Wine Road, local chambers, and other hospitality and tourism organizations.
Attend meetings and networking opportunities when appropriate, register RRV for participating events, coordinate our involvement, and represent the winery at community and off-site wine events.

Outreach & Business Development
A key part of this position is proactively developing new business for Russian River Vineyards.
Build relationships with local wineries, restaurants, hotels, visitor centers, chambers, tourism professionals, event planners, corporate groups, and other referral partners.
We want someone who enjoys getting out into the community, developing relationships, inviting people to experience RRV, following up on opportunities, and finding creative ways to generate private events, large-party reservations, winery visits, restaurant traffic, referrals, and wine sales.

Tasting Room & Hospitality Support
This position is also part of our overall hospitality team. You should be comfortable interacting with guests, presenting and selling wine, and supporting the tasting room during busy periods or when additional hours are available.
For someone seeking additional hours, tasting room and hospitality support can be an important part of growing the position.

Previous winery, restaurant, hospitality, event, catering, wedding, hotel, or sales experience is preferred. Knowledge of Sonoma County's wine and hospitality community is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
$31.25 per hour

Additional compensation opportunities include:
•  Performance-based event bonuses.
•  Event Captain tip opportunities for qualifying events.
•  Vacation accrual at 0.0385 hours per hour worked, approximately 80 hours annually for full-time employment.
•  Employee health care eligibility when average weekly hours meet company eligibility requirements, generally more than 30 hours per week.
•  Employee wine and hospitality benefits in accordance with company policies.
