Job Overview
Role: Sparkling Wine Server
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Manager on Duty
Location Standard: Oregon (requires local service permits like an OLCC permit and Food Handler’s Card)
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old
Key Responsibilities
Guest Hospitality: Greet visitors warmly, guide them through sparkling wine and champagne flights or seated tastings, and share stories about the winemaking or process.
Wine Education: Explain flavor profiles, bubble characteristics, vintage details, and food pairings with confidence.
Sales & Upselling: Actively promote bottle sales, dinner reservations, hotel and spa bookings, and community events.
Operations & Service: Maintain pristine glassware, stock tasting bars, clear tables, and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
Compliance: Practice responsible alcohol service and adhere to state liquor laws.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1+ years in hospitality, wine sales, or restaurant service.
Knowledge: A strong personal interest or background in wine, with a willingness to master sparkling wine production.
Physical: Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours and regularly lift 40 to 50 lbs (cases of wine).
Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, 11am-7pm shift.
Permits: Valid state alcohol service permit and a Food Handler's Card.
