Tasting Room Greeter/Concierge Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Our Tasting Room Hosts/Concierge are responsible for the creation of a memorable guest experience and offer the highest level of hospitality. The hosts will be able to demonstrate passion for our brand and will learn to share educational knowledge of our estate, the varietals with showcase and our story. Maintain a level of organization, positivity, and graciousness throughout the day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greet everyone with a “Welcome to Anaba” warmth and enthusiasm.
• Communication, planning, and hospitality operations
• Manage hospitality inquiries via phone, red chirp and email from existing patrons, guests, and referral sources, acting as a gracious and poised gatekeeper to accommodate guests’ needs
• Provide elevated administrative support to the hospitality operation
• Manage a seamless arrival experience for patrons and guests at the winery
• Create internal and external correspondence and communication in alignment with Anaba’s voice
• Assist in setting up and subscribing current Tock reservations with our Commerce7 system
• Answering tasting room phone
• Responsible for managing the winery calendar and strategically placing demand in collaboration with the Liaison team
• Assist with research for guest profiles, and confirming by phone, email or text about upcoming reservations that are not confirmed
• Assist with seating guests with accurate tasting menu, water, glasses, and get the information to the correct wine educator in a timely manner.
• Assist with coordinating wine allocation collection visits as needed
• Assist with special projects, as needed
• Participate in special on-site winery events, as needed
• Maintain awareness of hospitality activity
• Finding busy work, refilling waters, polishing and cleaning glassware
• Ensuring restrooms are tidy and organized and restocked
• Getting reservations ready for the day, checking floor plan is accurate for smooth seamless service, rotating wine educators and first tables, organize reservations and educators so that large parties are evenly distributed
• Follow all company policies and safety standards
• Maintain and wear dress code in a professional manner as required
• Make notes for the day including daily observations, walk-ins, dogs, kids, how many tables each educator received, no shows and any things that may have affected the days operations
• Assist wine educators in clearing and resetting tables for the next guest or service
• Provide informed and curated recommendations for patrons and guests, as needed
• Can be asked to pack wine and can do so with accuracy and fulfill member orders, or help a guest who wants to purchase wine to go
• Assist wine educators in cleaning, restocking, and closing the day
• Assists the kitchen in running food as needed
• Any other duties that may help the shift run smooth and provide a high level of hospitality for our guests
• Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be 21 or over. This is a part time position Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Restaurant experience a plus. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
