Job Description:

Season: Late July–Early November, weather dependent

Join a small winemaking team farming some of the oldest, most storied vineyards in California. You'll work fruit from living history: the Bechthold Vineyard, the oldest Cinsault planting in the world (1886); Royal Tee Zinfandel (1889); and Carignane vines dating to 1900. .

As part of a small team, you'll also get real time working alongside our winemaker Jake, with the chance to ask questions and learn the process firsthand.

What you'll be doing:

Running and sanitizing crush equipment — destemmer, sorting table, pumps, and more
Racking, barrel-downs, pump-overs, and wine transfers
Pressing and draining both reds and whites
Monitoring active fermentations and running sample analysis
Making yeast and nutrient additions
Heading out to the vineyards to pull samples and check Brix

What we're looking for:
People who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and work hard. Harvest means long hours and overtime, including weekends. In return, you'll get a genuine, ground level education in winemaking.
Physical requirements:

Comfortable being on your feet for extended stretches
Able to bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs
Willing to work long hours and overtime, including weekends
Able to work outdoors and indoors in a range of weather conditions
Forklift experience a plus, but not required
