Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Hospitality Assistant to join our team. This role plays a vital part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring all glassware, tableware, and hospitality spaces are impeccably maintained and fully stocked. The Hospitality Assistant will support tasting room operations through event and room setup and breakdown, inventory organization, cleanliness standards, and other essential duties that contribute to the seamless execution of daily hospitality activities.

Position Summary

The Hospitality Assistant supports all aspects of the Hospitality team and helps create memorable experiences for every guest who visits Donum. This individual is highly motivated, proactive, and able to excel both independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Above all, the Hospitality Assistant serves as a professional and welcoming ambassador of the Donum brand, demonstrating a genuine passion for hospitality, customer service, wine education, and creating meaningful connections with guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform satisfactorily each duty described above. Requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •  Wash and restock glassware, flatware and plateware.
•  Bussing for private events; set-up and breakdown of bussing stations.
•  Assist in the set-up and breakdown of tastings and tours.
•  Greet and welcome guests to The Donum Estate.
•  Assist with pouring wine and setting group tastings when needed.
•  Assist guests with transporting wine orders to their vehicles when needed.
•  Provide support to “member only lounge” as needed including art tours.
•  Inspect restrooms every hour and clean/restock as needed.
•  Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures and safety protocols.

Required Education and/or Experience
•  Highschool equivalent or greater. Must be at least the age of 18.
•  Previous experience in restaurant or winery setting required.
•  Food Handler Certification and if needed, Responsible Beverage Handler’s Certificate.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
•  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
•  Occasional bending, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
•  Frequent transition from sitting and standing, moderate bending, walking and lifting.
•  Manual dexterity required to handle and clean stemware, open and pour wine.

•  Work environments is primarily in the main tasting/retail rooms.
•  Other work environments include the outdoor grounds and outdoor tasting spaces. There is an active barn on the property which is maintained by another department but is a part of the Donum tour conducted by the hospitality team.
•  Will frequently interact with winery consumers, trade guests and vendors.

Schedule:
•  8-hour shift

Salary Range:
•  Range $18-$21 per hour. Plus tips and monthly bonus for the team for reaching goals.
