Force Majeure is seeking a Part-Time Tasting Room Associate to join our small, highly collaborative team in our tasting studio located in Milton Freewater, OR. This is a sales-driven role, focused on delivering thoughtful, engaging guest experiences.

The position is for Friday and Saturdays and is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about wine, hospitality, and creating meaningful guest connections!

Core Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Hospitality-

Greet all guests warmly and deliver a welcoming, engaging, and memorable tasting experience.
Create experiences that feel high-quality, thoughtful, and approachable
Educate guests on Force Majeure wines, vineyards, winemaking philosophy, and brand story.
Respond to guest questions and concerns professionally, in person, by phone, and via email.
Build genuine relationships with guests to encourage return visits and long-term engagement.

Sales & Guest Engagement-

Confidently present and recommend wines based on guest preferences.
Encourage guests to join the Force Majeure mailing list and capture accurate customer information.
Support tasting room sales goals during busy weekend service.
Accurately process sales transactions using POS and CRM systems (Commerce7)
Assist with booking reservations and managing guest communications before and after visits.
Maintain and update customer profiles in Commerce7 with relevant guest information.


Tasting Room Operations-

Open, set up, maintain, and close the tasting room with attention to cleanliness and presentation.
Wash, polish, and maintain glassware and equipment.
Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
Assist with winery operations or special projects (e.g., events, bottling, harvest support) as needed.

Compliance-

Must be 21+ years of age.
Serve alcohol responsibly and in accordance with all local and state laws. Requires OLCC license.
Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations.
