Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic DTC Sales Manager to join our team! The DTC Sales Manager will conduct sales analysis, prepare and implement sales strategies to promote sales, and supervise and mentor team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
-At least 21 years of age.
-Minimum three years of proven experience as a DTC Sales Manager or similar role in the wine industry with successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and confidently with guests, team members, and vendors.
-Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
-Successful experience supervising, coaching, developing, and managing staff.
-Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
-Exceptional guest service a with the ability to present product, up-sell, cross-sell, and close sales.
-Strong interpersonal awareness, relationship management and influencing skills
-Able to resolve customer concerns and complaints.
-Able to work weekends, events, occasional holiday, and extended hours.
-Self-directed, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
-Acute attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
-Ability to work in a calm and effective manner with changing priorities and pressure.
-Excellent time management skills.
-Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects; excellent follow-up and follow through.
-Able to create effective sales strategies and budgets.
-Current Responsible Beverage and Safe Food Handler Certification.
-Maintains a current class C California driver’s license and a clean, insurable driving record.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Supervises and coaches team members on standards, policies, and procedures.
-Leads staff meetings and keeps staff up to date on procedures, sales goals, event updates and other pertinent information to aid sales and maintain efficiency.
-Provides ongoing education to staff regarding wine, terroir, and the winemaking process.
-Communicates and monitors sales incentive program ensuring sales goals are met or exceeded.
-Develops and executes sales strategies and campaigns to achieve sales objectives.
-Hires, leads, and trains team members to achieve and exceed sales goals.
-Fosters teamwork by working and communicating with others in a collaborative and respectful way.
-Appraises team performance, rewarding and taking disciplinary action when needed, addresses complaints and problems and works closely with Human Resources regarding -employee relations issues.
-Fully supports Company policies, procedures, and commitment to established safety practices and policies.
-Responds to all customer concerns and monitors online customer reviews.
-Ensures that all shipping orders are accurately processed on time
-Executes monthly physical inventory for wine and oversees inventory counts and allocations.
-Ensures the completion of monthly and quarterly inventory reports, depletion reports, club reports, and sales reports.
-Utilizes sales data to identify and promote effective timelines to market each wine.
-Composes content for newsletters in accordance with needs identified in sales data.
-Summarizes all campaign earnings and presents to Management upon request.
-Utilizes data to provide direction for winery operations, event planning, and winemaking.
-Assesses opportunities for new events, promotional campaigns and marketing opportunities.
-Plans all events including, but not limited to set-up, break down, staffing, and all other logistical activities.
-Attends all events, onsite and offsite, and positively represents the Company.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:
-High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred.
-Minimum of three years of proven experience as a DTC Sales Manager or similar role in the wine industry.

Computer Skills:
Intermediate to advanced skill with point-of-sale, shipping platforms, Commerce 7, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Language Skills:
-Fully proficient in the English language in both oral and written formats (speak, read, write, text, type) required. Multi-lingual preferred.
-Able to communicate in a professional and effective manner at all times in both oral and written formats.
-Ability to professionally and effectively respond to inquiries, comments, or complaints from internal or external customers.

Must be able to operate standard office equipment and lift/carry/move 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to drive to off-site locations, run errands, and attend special events.

The environment will differ depending upon the work location. Noise levels generally rise during special events. This position requires the ability to travel to off-site locations and special events. The noise level in the work environment is generally low to moderate.
