Role Overview
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day tasting room operations and supervision of staff. This role acts as a charismatic brand ambassador, leading a dynamic team who creates lasting memories for guests and delivers an elevated, wine-focused experience while the team consistently meets or exceeds sales goals. The role also oversees hospitality operations and sales on the winery estate property.

Responsibilities
•  Operations: Serves as the heartbeat of the tasting room, actively supporting the host team through a consistent, hands-on floor presence and managing day-to-day operations. Optimizes staffing and workflows to ensure the highest quality guest experience. Oversees tasting room inventory, POS system accuracy, and the tasting room safety program while maintaining luxury aesthetic standards
•  Leadership & Team Management: Cultivates a high-performing team by leading recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing education for the hospitality team. Directly supervises staff, manages schedules, approves routine timecards, and reconciles gratuities for payroll. Fosters enthusiastic teamwork and conducts continuous coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews to elevate the team's skills.
•  Hospitality & Guest Experience: Champions our standard of accessible luxury from reservation to post-visit communication. Hosts experiences for consumer and trade guests as needed, setting a premier example of hospitality. Acts as the primary point of contact for resolving guest escalations, and oversees the general hospitality email to maintain a meticulously clean inbox. Ensures the host team accurately captures guest preferences to build long-term relationships.
•  Sales: Tracks established sales performance metrics and coaches staff accordingly. Collaborates with leadership to drive the execution of sales initiatives and incentive programs.
•  Events: Acts as the service lead for onsite events. Attends and represents Aperture Cellars at offsite events, maintaining our high standard of hospitality.

Education, Experience & Qualifications
•  Must be at least 21 years of age with a High school diploma or GED equivalent.
•  3-5 years sales/hospitality experience and 1-2 years prior management experience.
•  First-hand knowledge, appreciation for, and passion regarding wine, including prior experience in direct wine consumer sales.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation/storytelling skills.
•  Professional appearance, charismatic leadership, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
•  Proficient with Microsoft 365, winery CRMs and POS systems (Figure, Commerce7), and reservation systems (TOCK).
•  Thorough knowledge of DTC compliance, shipping logistics, and protocols.
•  Must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
•  Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
