Burntshirt Vineyards is seeking an experienced, sales-driven Wine Sales Lead to elevate our tasting room experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, has a passion for wine, and knows how to drive revenue through exceptional guest engagement with room to grow in our company.
Position Overview
The Wine Sales Lead is responsible for driving wine sales, managing staff scheduling, while delivering a high-end, memorable guest experience. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, sales expertise, and weekend/holiday availability.
Key Responsibilities
Drive wine sales through upselling, storytelling, and customer engagement
Train and mentor staff on sales techniques and product knowledge
Create and manage employee schedules for the tasting room team
Ensure exceptional guest experiences from first impression to final sale
Maintain a polished, professional, and welcoming environment
Assist with inventory awareness and product recommendations
Support special events, wine club engagement, and promotions
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of winery or wine sales experience required
Proven track record of increasing sales and upselling successfully
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work weekends and holidays (required)
Knowledge of wine, varietals, and tasting room operations
Comfortable in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
