Position Summary: The Production & Materials Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting high-volume, multi-SKU bottling operations. This position ensures all dry goods and finished materials are accurately staged, tracked, and available to meet production schedules across bottling programs. This role serves as a key connector between production, warehouse, and purchasing, helping maintain line efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring accuracy across client specifications.
Schedule: 4/10 work schedule, Mon – Thurs 5:30am to 4pm
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reconcile daily inventory usage, scrap, and discrepancies in coordination with the Material Buyer
• Stage and verify all dry goods for bottling runs (glass, labels, closures, cartons)
• Ensure materials match work orders, BOMs, and client-specific requirements
• Proactively manage line-side inventory to prevent downtime
• Remove finished goods and coordinate palletizing and storage
• Receive and verify inbound materials against PO’s and production specs
• Receive and process all inbound dry goods into the inventory system (Business Central)
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in real time
• Reconcile daily inventory usage, scrap, and discrepancies in coordination with the Material Buyer
• Review daily/weekly bottling schedules and prepare materials accordingly
• Communicate material shortages or risks to Production Manager and Purchasing
• Support quick changeovers between SKUs and client runs
• Serve as a “go-to” floor resource during bottling runs
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Load/unload trucks, containers, and internal transfers
• Maintain clean, organized staging and warehouse areas
Education and Experience:
• 2+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience
• Strong understanding of bottling line flow and material needs
• Forklift and warehouse experience (certification preferred)
• Experience with inventory systems (Business Central or similar preferred)
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles of inventory management and attention to detail
• Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all applicable laws; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under SB’s insurance policy.
