Brecon Estate Hospitality Manager, Full Time
Who We’re Looking For: Brecon Estate is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to oversee all aspects of daily operations and tasting room culture. The ideal candidate will exhibit a “lead from the front” mentality and be passionate about delivering exceptional and relationship-centered service. Candidate will genuinely enjoy working with the public, be able to intelligently share wine knowledge, and consistently drive both in-person sales and wine club memberships. The Tasting Room Manager will work in conjunction with our GM of Sales & Marketing to elevate the overall energy and brand presence, and create a seamless guest experience both in person and online. This position is ideal for team players who enjoy working in a hands-on role that is constantly evolving. We create memorable experiences for our visitors, so enthusiasm for wine and Central Coast culture is a must.
POSITION DETAILS:
Salary Range: DOE
Schedule: 5 days/week, with weekends (Fri-Sun) mandatory.
SCOPE: Manage and lead all aspects of the Brecon Estate tasting room, driving sales performance, delivering elevated hospitality, and upholding exceptional operational standards. This role is responsible for maintaining and encouraging a high-performing team, and creating an environment where guest experience and business results are equally prioritized.
ROLE AND EXPECTATIONS:
Operations Management
Manage daily operations, including opening/closing and cash accounting, with attention to detail and consistency.
Lead by example and support the team during service. Maintain an active presence on the floor during peak periods.
Drive key performance metrics, including wine sales, average order value, membership conversion, and new customer acquisition
Deliver an elevated and detail-oriented hospitality experience, ensuring each guest interaction feels seamless, personal, and aligned with the Brecon brand
Personnel Management:
Hire, train, and manage tasting room staff as needed, ensuring alignment with company standards and expectations
Conduct evaluations and performance conversations as needed with clear expectations and follow-through
Financial and Administrative Management
Partner with Brecon management & ownership to develop and manage annual revenue and expense budgets for the tasting room, with a focus on profitability and performance.
Oversee administrative responsibilities, including inventory management, compliance, order entry, and customer service resolutions.
Utilize POS and reporting systems to track performance, identify opportunities, and support decision-making.
Manage relationships and contracts with external service providers, such as repair and maintenance services.
Other Essential Duties
Serve as a brand ambassador for Brecon Estate, cultivating relationships with hotels and other local businesses to drive qualified visitation.
Lead and support initiatives that increase visitation during weekday and off-peak seasons

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial role within retail or hospitality, with a demonstrated history of excellence in service and hospitality
Committed to high standards in guest experience, service, and operational execution.
Team player with an outgoing and engaging personality
Professionalism and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to lead, coach, and present to groups.
Proficiency in Point-of-Sale systems (Orderport is a plus), MailChimp, Google Suite, RedChirp
High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be 21+ years old
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):
Social Media experience
Prior experience hosting elevated reserve tastings
Wine certifications and study a huge plus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
