Wine Garden Host (Seasonal Part-Time)

Dry Creek Vineyard

Healdsburg, CA

Apply

Job Description:

Dry Creek Vineyard is looking for an outgoing, high-energy host to bring our summer wine garden to life. Voted Healdsburg’s Best Tasting Room, we pride ourselves on creating unforgettable guest experiences — and in the wine garden, you’re at the center of it all.

Set around Claudine, our vintage Citroën mobile wine bar, this is where the vibe shifts: relaxed, social and full of energy. As our Wine Garden Host, you’re not just pouring wine — you’re guiding the experience, connecting with guests and keeping the entire space buzzing.

This is a role for someone who loves being on the floor, engaging with guests, making recommendations and turning a casual visit into something memorable. You know how to read the room, keep the energy up and make every guest feel like they’ve landed exactly where they should be.

You might be a great fit for this role if:

•  You love making recommendations and helping people discover their new favorite wine.
•  You can strike up a conversation with anyone and make it feel natural.
•  You know how to balance hospitality and sales in a way that feels genuine, not pushy.
•  You’re just as comfortable pouring a glass as you are telling the story behind it.
•  You thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment and bring positive energy to every shift.
•  You instinctively “work the space,” checking in on guests and anticipating needs.
•  You take pride in keeping your station dialed in — clean, stocked and ready for anything.
•  You enjoy being part of a team that jumps in and supports each other.
•  You don’t just serve wine, you create the kind of experience people come back for.

Qualifications:
•  Must be 21 years of age or older
•  2–3 years of winery, restaurant, tasting room or hospitality experience required
•  Basic wine knowledge with enthusiasm to learn more
•  Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests
•  Sales-minded with a guest-first approach to hospitality
•  Ability to multitask and stay energized in a fast-paced environment
•  Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in warm weather
•  Weekend availability required; occasional evening shifts as needed
•  Ability to lift and carry wine cases and service supplies
About us:

We’re proud to be recognized as one of the “Top 100 Wineries” by Wine & Spirits Magazine and a “Top 10 Tasting Room” by USA TODAY. Our team shares a passion for great wine, genuine hospitality and creating experiences guests will remember long after their visit.
Schedule:
Seasonal, part-time role primarily on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), with occasional evening shifts for special events.
Compensation:
Position is Non-Exempt. Hourly pay plus tips and a generous wine club sign-up incentive.
