Job Description:

Position Summary

The Prepared Foods Associate supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, simple dishes, condiments, and other food items. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is passionate about food and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
•  Maintain a positive, professional attitude with customers and team members, especially in high-volume environments
•  Collaborate effectively with team members and adapt to changing priorities
•  Prepare food items and ingredients as directed by culinary leadership
•  Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation at all times
•  Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company safety standards
•  Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, anticipating needs, and creating a welcoming experience
•  Communicate customer feedback, menu suggestions, and operational updates to management
•  Attend trainings, tastings, and team meetings as required
•  Work efficiently, stay proactive, and take initiative with minimal supervision

Additional Duties
•  Maintain workplace safety and report hazards or unsafe conditions
•  Support team operations and assist with additional tasks as needed
•  Thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment
•  Maintain strong personal hygiene and professional appearance

Qualifications
•  High school diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience
•  1-3 months of related experience or training preferred
•  Valid Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain)
•  Valid driver's license with insurable driving record and proof of insurance

Skills & Abilities
•  Communication: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
•  Math: Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
•  Problem-Solving: Ability to follow instructions, adapt to change, and solve routine issues
•  Technical: Basic computer skills (email, internet, keyboarding)

Physical Requirements
•  Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a kitchen environment
•  Lift and carry up to 40 lbs
•  Perform repetitive motions such as chopping and food prep
•  Work in environments with heat, steam, and cold conditions

Work Environment
•  Indoor kitchen and retail setting with moderate noise levels
•  Exposure to temperature variations and kitchen conditions
•  Occasional outdoor movement between buildings

Schedule
•  Variable schedule based on business needs
•  May include weekends, evenings, and seasonal overtime
•  Part-time hours: 0-29+ hours per week
