Windridge Vineyards is an established, family-owned farm winery in Montgomery County, Maryland, located just 30 minutes from Washington DC. Windridge produces and sells Estate wines at our winery tasting room overlooking vineyards with panoramic views stretching to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Windridge Kitchen serves seasonal, inspired fare to complement our award-winning wine. The combination of excellent wine and food, a beautiful facility, and dedicated staff enables us to deliver a customer experience that is best-in-class.

Windridge Vineyards is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hospitality-driven General Manager to lead all on-site operations and drive performance across multiple revenue channels.

This senior leadership role oversees:
•  Wine and Food Retail
•  Wine Club
•  Events and Hospitality (including private events)
•  Wholesale Distribution
•  Marketing Execution

The General Manager serves as the senior on-site executive responsible for financial performance, team leadership, guest experience, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth.

Now in its 7th year of operations, Windridge Vineyards is entering its next phase of growth with an evolving service model and expanded revenue potential. The GM will partner directly with Ownership to scale performance, strengthen management structure, and drive measurable increases in revenue, operational efficiency, and wine club growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
•  5+ years of senior restaurant or hospitality leadership experience
•  Gracious spirit of hospitality
•  Comfortable operating in fast-paced and high-demand situations
•  Adept at team building and possessing a desire to teach and mentor staff
•  Strong financial discipline and data-driven decision making
•  Exceptional communication and organizational skills
•  Adaptability in both leadership style and business approach
•  Desire to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals
•  Advanced knowledge of food and wine

Qualifications:
•  Hospitality degree preferred but not required
•  Working knowledge of safety and hygiene protocols
•  Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
•  Ability to use a computer and Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
•  Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds and walk long distances
•  Stamina to work extended daily shift hours and in excess of 40 hours per week
•  Ability to read and understand English

Position Expectations / Job Classification
This is not a passive oversight role. The General Manager will be visible throughout retail operations, actively engaged in leadership, and willing to perform in any role as needed.

The position is full-time, salaried, and in-person, at 15700 Darnestown Rd, Germantown, MD. Weekend and evening work is required. Salary range $80,000 - $120,000 depending on qualifications.
